DEATH VALLEY SIGHTS

At Furnace Creek, there were 5 different place we wanted to tour. Since it got up to 112 the first day we were there, we got up early Monday morning and started out about 6. Perfect timing.

Our first stop was Badwater Basin. As you can see it is 282 ft. below sea level. In the background it looks like water, but is salt. There have been several holes dug (by whom or what I have no idea) and about 2 feet down you can see water.

The next stop was Natural Bridge. From the parking area it was 1/2 mile to see the bridge, well worth the walk.

Next was Devils Golf Course. These jagged formations were deposited by ancient salt lakes and shaped by wind and rain.
